Hi,

I think I may have asked a similar question before, but I cannot now locate the thread. Is this ~まし ending normal in standard Japanese, or is it characteristic of a certain dialect or special way of speaking?

What is the meaning of あそばせ in this sentence? I guess it is from 遊ぶ, but I cannot figure out the purpose here.

I am not even sure where the word boundaries lie.
