How Do I Stone My 1911 Trigger Channels?

I have gotten a trigger track stone from Brownell's, but I've never attempted to smooth the trigger tracks on my 1911. Instructions with the stone say to degrease the tracks before stoning and to use water as lubricant.

How much pressure do I put on the stone while it moves back and forth in the trigger channel?

Should I dip the stone in water and shake off the excess before inserting it into the channel?

Any information about technique will be appreciated. Thanks.
